“ Nice friendly staff...busy the day we went....but service was quick...had the plate lunch, pork jambalaya with beans.....could have had two scoops of beans instead on one....not enough beans compared to how much jambalaya they served....would go back....heard the hamburgers are very good. “ I was on business in the Baton Rogue area and wanted to try some local flavor. This place is about as good as it gets. I had plate lunch of fried chicken, a boudin ball with pepper jack cheese and I tried some beef jerky. Everything was spot on and the fried chicken was some of the best I have ever had. I will have to go back when I am there again and will probably try something different. The people were friendly too. ”

“ Alright this place is a must go to when you are leaving or going through Baton Rouge. It's a few minutes down the road on the west side of the Mississippi River going towards plaquemine (south of I-10). The must get items there are the beef brisket, Tasso, beef jerky, and andouille. But most of all the boudin there is the best I've ever had even on a full stomach. I've had boudin at several different place around the I-10 corridor from lake Charles to Baton Rouge. This is the best you can get. Also the marinated brisket is the best as well. Also they have frozen meats as well. ”

The have the very best andouille sausage you'll ever consume. The friendliest staff you will ever find around here. Now the food is great. Small menu with weekly specials and a few plate lunches. Very affordable. They also carry smoked and prepared meats. Venison sausage, fresh chicken sausage and the likes. Awesome meatloaf. Had the hot sausage poor boy hit pressed with the bread slightly buttered. Is must if you live here. ”
